The MCF AI Bootcamp Program for High School students is diverse and inclusive of all identities, with a transparent focus on recruiting students from low-to-moderate income households, first generation college students, girls, and students of color.

Students will learn the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and how they can incorporate AI into their field of interest. Students are able to select from six tracks: healthcare, arts and entertainment, business and entrepreneurship, computer science, sports science, or education and career readiness.

Students will receive transportation assistance, food and a snack, and laptops for use throughout bootcamp. No computer science knowledge is required.

We are trying to encourage High Schoolers to attend because we have students visiting from Japan who won a national sketch battle competition. there will be food, age appropriate beverages, and prizes. It’s free and open to the public.

OGPC is an Oregon Statewide Student Code Showcase
It's known as the Oregon Game Project Challenge

Why code and attend OGPC?
It will help you get jobs and scholarships. You can tell colleges and employers that you joined a team, submitted your code and presented your work to judges. We expect you to build teams of 2 5 students for the OGPC game challenge

Students from all over Oregon travel to Monmouth Oregon near Salem in the spring. Students showcase their games and projects. It's more of a gallery of student code than a competition.

When: One day, normally the end of May each year.
Who: Students grades 6 to 12 in Oregon

In the past FreeGeek was only able to offer desktop computers to students and individuals. Freegeek has new refurbishing software, PCs for People. They are also receiving more corporate donations. They now we have laptops—or Freektops, as they affectionately called.
